Do You Have These 5 Important Pages On Your Blog?

Hi everyone,

This is Kulwant Nagi from Bloggingcage.com, I came here to discuss with you some essential blogging stuff and I want you to ask “Do you have some important pages on your blog?”

Finally, you own a blog and it is looking good.

You completed your SEO checklist, having a good social media presence and helping people with your awesome articles.

Having a blog & having a good blog are completely different from each other and the journey starts with having a blog only.

The growth of blogs is on its peak. 6.7 million people are doing blogging on the daily basis, but only 14% of the bloggers in the world earn a salary through blogging where $24,000 is the average annual earning of a blogger.

People are trying display ads, affiliate marketing, SEO, paid posts and some other blog monetization methods to earn for their living.

But the question is; Does you blog good enough to convert readers into buyers?

Do you have some important pages on your blog?

Have you ever thought about having such pages on your blog?

You might be having few pages on your blog which I am going to discuss here but not all of them.

PS: If you have all of the important pages of a blog which am gonna discuss,  then give a pat on your back. 🙂

1. About Me Page

This is the second most visited page on your blog.

People want to see the face behind the blog. They want to see the identity behind the blog and to read more about you. Moreover, they might be interested to know your past and want to read your story.

The question is: why do people visit about me page?

Before proceeding further, ask yourself – why do YOU read about me page?

My answer would be – To Inspire myself.

We as a blogger keep looking for the sources of inspiration; either it’s a blogger who is getting success in niche blogging, a blogger who is getting huge likes on his/her Facebook page or a blogger who is getting huge comments on his/her blog.

Blogger needs an inspiration to perform well in the Blogosphere.

So make your ‘about me‘ page so compelling that you can convey your inspiring story there.

Having your own image is MUST for you are about me page.

DO IT NOW, if you haven’t put your image in your about me page till the date.

2. Contact Page

I know you already have this.

But is it easy to access and use?

In my case, 90% of the paid/sponsored posts I get on my blogs are via the contact me page.

People contact me for writing guest posts on my blog, and I know how to convert them into paid posts. 😉

3. Resources Page

People read your blog because they love your writing style and they feel that you are unique from other bloggers.

They love what you write, what you speak and most importantly what you recommend.

Having a resource page on your blog can give your readers a complete picture about the tools which you are using to grow your online business. Check my resource page here.

In this page, you can list all the tools, plugins which you are using. You can list all the online courses, forums, personal coaching programs which you have joined to learn more about your business.

A well-formatted resource page can help your readers to take quick decision.

4. Pillar Page

What is this?

A pillar article is an article which supports your blog throughout.

This is the backbone of your blog. In this article, your can cover a huge category and then list small categories in this article.

You can make a pillar article like

     1. Advanced SEO Techniques.

     2. A complete guide to setup your WordPress blog.

     3. A complete social media optimization guide.

and many other great titles which can teach in-depth for your readers.

Read more about pillar article.

5. Advertise With Us Page

Do you want to make money with your blog?

This would be the funniest question to be asked. 🙂

So having an ‘advertise with us’ page on your blog can give a complete picture about your blog, which will work as a more convincing factor for an advertiser.

In this page, you can show the number of subscribers, social media fans, your traffic, your online presence, comment/interaction on your blog and few other convincing factors.

By going through this page on your blog, the advertiser will not think twice and ends up buying display ads/sponsored post on your blog.

Wrapping Up

I congratulate you because you have a blog and working hard to learn from industry expert’s tips.

But if you are missing these pages on your blog then it’s time for you to take quick action.

Do it now and see the growing trust of your readers.

Your Turn

Let me know, did you already have these important pages on your blog and on which pages you are going to work now? How are you going to add those pages and what content are you going to add?

I would love to hear your awesome thoughts about this article so that I can produce even more helpful content in future.

  2. Wow, it’s great to see Kulwant sir’s guest post on mymagicfundas. I will say these 5 Pages are really very Important for any Blog. Without these Pages a blog is like “a road under construction”.

Even, to get google adsense these pages play a vital role. I am feeling happy to read this article and going to add “Resources page” on my blog, because it’s still missing. Thanks you so much for sharing this great post with us.

A special thanks goes to Nirmala mam for publishing this useful article here.

    1. Thanks for leaving your comment and it is really good that you’re gonna add ‘Resource page” to your blog Amit 🙂

  3. Hi Nirmala and Kulwant… !!!
I hope you guys are enjoying the dotcom lifestyle (blogging) 😉

I just saw the post shared on Facebook by Nirmala, and landed here to end the curiosity [what Nirmala has cooked for us this time 😉 ]

And I find that, there is really interesting and important thing that almost every blogger misses on his /her blogs. These 5 pages that you have listed are essential for every blog to make the blog more convertible and tell the world who is the person behind the it.

I have checked your resource page, Kulwant, it’s nice and very informative for all. But I guess you have missed the START HERE page to include in the list.

On Bloggingcage, you have added a page named as “Start Blogging”, that sounds like great if anyone wants to start his own blog.

But what about the visitors / readers like me who have visited the blog very first time ;). From where, he should start? Any idea about that?

Yes, I am talking about the same, the Start Here page, the page that will send a very newcomer to a place where he / she can start reading from the beginning or start with your best written posts.

Your “Start Blogging ” page shows similar contents that a Start Here Page includes.

I think that should also be included in the blog so that we never miss new audience on our blog.

Well, It’s just a short summary on the Start Here page [You are more experienced than me regarding this :D]. However, I have not made the pages that you have listed, Will compose these pages on my blog soon.

Thanks for sharing the worthy article.

    Have a great time, Kulwant
    And you too Nirmala 😀

    1. First of all thanks a lot for this long comment. 🙂

I am personally enjoying this life a lot and you can see on the timeline cover of my Facebook page.

It’s saying, “Living the internet lifestyle.”

When I started blogging then even I didn’t have these pages on my blog because no-one was there to instruct me and show me the right path.

But I kept on exploring and found the right elements.

Yeah Ravi, having “Start here” page can be a good resource on your blog because for the first time visitor it will work as convincing factor. This page will deliver the value which he/she is looking and then end up becoming your subscriber as well as loyal reader.

In this page you can include basics of blogging, blog setup, little SEO, social media tips and few more things to make them feel happy.
