Experts Tips – Martin Shervington From PlusYourBusiness
1. Why and how you got the passion for blogging about “Google Plus”?
I started on 6th March 2012 and simply saw the potential to connect with people in new ways. After a few days, I began to blog on Google+ itself and people responded so positively that I kept on going.
It is all about building a community of people around your content.
2. Is it essential for the digital marketers to take part in Google Plus Communities?
Communities are hives of activity. There are people there, well, waiting for quality content and conversation. And people want to be a part of something bigger than themselves, in this way communities are a great way to connect with the right people for you.
I do think though that people shouldn’t rely on communities to distribute their content – they still need to build up a profile or a page too. This gives them much more content for distributing content.
3. Most of the bloggers believes that the content shared on Google Plus get indexed better and hold good SERP, is it true? Is Google Plus is important for SEO?
Yes. And yes again. Google Plus is incredible for SEO.
Search for ‘Social SEO facts’ and you will see a case study of how I built communities around my content and achieved over 250,000 visitors to one blog post.
It takes time but building authority is what it becomes about, one relationship at a time.
4. How to share Google Plus post? Please explain the best anatomy of a Google Plus post.
The best bet is for me to give you this link
5. What would be the future of social media, especially Google Plus?
‘Social’ is a way to connect people to ideas, and to each other.
I believe Google+ is right at the heart of a movement to make the Internet disappear, based on what Eric Schmidt – as such, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality will increasingly start to become part of our lives and social will start to blend in with this much more too.
6. Do you use any Google Plus tool? Share your favourite Google Plus tools/chrome extensions if any.
Yes, and my favourites are: Circloscope.com and Nod3x.com
Both are awesome.
Thank you so much Martin for you immediate response to my questions. This would insist my beloved readers to understand & do better on Google Plus and acquire good SERPs for their blog posts.
